Bio:
Artist Ryan "Av one" Flores, has always had a passion for creating art. As a young child he was often mesmerized by the colorful graffiti he would see on the passing freight trains. Growing up in the western suburbs of Chicago he didn't start exploring the city until well into his teenage years. As a creative eleven year old he was introduced to break dancing and graffiti from a 6th grade friend and began to learn about and fall in love with hip hop culture. As years passed music came into the picture as well. A respected turntablist and music producer after putting in years of studio work and performing in the Madison, WI music scene and then returning home and being part of the local Aurora and greater Chicago hip hop scene. The creative process in general is always on the forefront for him whether it's in designing products for and running small businesses, media projects, or creating painted works with vibrant colors and bold line work. Time painting in the streets and train yards continues to be a main foundation and influence for a lot of his works. That combined with a 16 year background in graphic design and sign production, he often combines the two resulting in a unique fusion of styles that can be found throughout his canvasses and painted works.
